Review of Man on Wire (2008) by Brettplank — 19 Sep 2016
A beautifully told story of a man's fearless attempt at the extraordinary. The film footage from the seventies makes it all that more delightful and visually pleasing. Well edited and paced — the film is opposite of boredom; the beauty lies in the details and how passionately Philippe and his crew presents them. Petit's daring acrobatics are carried out in as much heartfelt enthusiasm as are his accounts. Philippe's friends mirror his youthful vigor, despite their concerns.
Not a film to miss.
