Jim Carrey is a funny guy. Andy Kaufman is a funny guy. Jim Carrey does a great Andy Kaufman. So, naturally, "Man on the Moon" is unfunny, pretty dull, and not all that touching. Yeah, I don't get it either.
Pretty much just scratches the surface of Kaufman's life, so it tends to fail as a Hollywood biography as well.
