Andy Kaufman was a prick, but he was genius at being one. This is the film that really launched Jim Carrey's career. After this he didn't have to jerk around and act like a dipshit to get films.
Unfortunately he didn't follow it up with much, other than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which was brilliant.
