Review of Man on the Moon (1999) by Raja N — 01 Oct 2009
Not really a fan of "funny" Carrey, but I really was at an edge of making a big exeption here, with a movie that started incredibly well but began deteriorating as the running time flew by. Carrey plays enigmatic insane comedian Andy Kaufmann, which I can't judge the performance simply because I know absolutely nothing about the real Kaufmann, and quite simply doesn't really intrigue me to know anything about this guy, may he rest in peace.
What I despise about such movies is that they tend to exaggerate things to get you to some point, well that simply didn't work with me, because I despised the act just as much as I despised the caracter.
Personnally, I didn't enjoy watching this, apart from the first 30 minutes, but I must agree that the ending was good because I was asking myself silly questions after the closing credits.
