Review of Man on the Moon (1999) by Yeona I — 19 Oct 2009
You know what? I loved Man on the Moon. It tells a great story that is consistently interesting, and while although it isn't necessarilly the most factual biography film, it still follows the basic course of Andy Kaufman's life.
Jim Carrey plays the role perfectly, just as good as he did Truman Burbank in the Truman Show. Just as good as Carrey is Danny DeVito, who plays the role with the perfect amount of silliness and seriousness.
The humour is good when it wants to be, and I love how it tells really bad jokes at times to emphasise how bad comedians can be.
