Quite the strange but interesting movie, much like its main character. And this is where its qualities lie - in shaping it so much to fit Kaufman's style. Many parts of it are indeed very funny, but others are just weird without really getting anywhere. You don't know what to believe as real, and even his death remains a little bit of a mystery. Was Kaufman a genius? Maybe not quite, but he sure tried to be.
Phenomenal performance by Carrey, though. Elevated the film to another level.
