Review of Man on Fire (2004) by Jeff H — 23 Jul 2011
Incredible. Washington is a rude bastard in real life, but this film was so much fun. Revenge, quietly served. Americans are very sensitive to the evil of Mexico these days, the kidnappings and corruptions. Dakota Fanning provides the pivot to his silent unstoppable rage.
Warning: Bloody, but not sexually gratuitous, and not even that much language, maybe none. Even the violence seems less than some other movies, and its not the same stylish violence that we see typically. I just wish Denzel wasn't such a jerk.
