I wish I understood why so many people hate this movie. They say.. too violent, makes no sense, and things like this.

My question to this is, how many people actually know the realities of Mexico, in specific of Mexico City.

The filmmaker captured perfectly how things work down there. Dramatically of course, after all, it is a movie. But very close to reality. Violence of this and worse levels is true, it is rampant and it is a matter of fact.

Teenagers found because of the stench their bodies left behind after days rotting in the trunk of an abandoned car. The teen son of a National Icon, non the less...

The corruption levels that reach the highest echelons of the Mexican institutions, so much so that the current president had to create a new Judicial branch.

I was a repeated client of these thugs. I lived all of these in full color, in real life. This movie is MAGNIFICENT, the acting is spot on, the action is exhilarating and as real as it gets. The story is inspired.

I wish there were a lot more movies with this quality. A must see if you want a bird eye view of life in one of the biggest cities of the world. Subdued by crime levels that boggle the mind.
