Review of Man on Fire (1987) by Greg S — 12 Dec 2011
When he begins his quest to torture and assassinate all those involved, the adrenaline rush is palpable through the screen. His relentless search for his young female charge who he came to love as one of his own is fueled with an intensity that I have yet seen matched within the genre.
When he orders the family to the roof and waves the gun menacingly at the kidnapper's pregnant girlfriend, it is beautifully ramped up intensity....Possibly his best onscreen character......and that's really saying something.
....The "reviewers" missed by a mile on this feature....
