Review of Man on Fire (1987) by Wes S — 21 Mar 2012
Denzel Washington is great in this film as a war veteran who has plenty of demons in his past, and tries to deal with them by drinking. While visiting his old friend in Mexico (played by Christopher Walken) Washington's character Creasy takes a job as a bodyguard for a wealthy family where he slowly gets attached to their daughter Pita (played by Dakota Fanning).
This is an all around great revenge film about Creasy going after the men who kidnapped her. Sort of similar to Domino in a way with it's edgy style of cinematography, this is a good film worth checking out.
