Review of Man of Tai Chi (2013) by Ryan J — 30 Nov 2013
Keanu Reeves directorial debut about a young Tai Chi fighter who wants to be the best, wants to have it all. Gets offered a lucrative fighting deal with enough money to save the temple he trains at with his master which is being threatened to get shutdown due to the state of the place, being unsafe and all.
He finds that he wants to be the best and is the best but there are consequences to his excellence, they come at a price. Well choreographed fight scenes, not the most engrossing storyline but it's still a fun film to watch.
Interesting debut by Reeves.
