Review of Man of Tai Chi (2013) by Daniel V — 09 Jan 2014
Solid Directorial debut for Keanu Reeves and once again showing his love for Martial Arts, which he continues to get better at. The story may not be anything new but the fight sequences are fantastic and exhilarating.
It combines the classic MA movies from Asia in 70s to the 80s Americanized MA movies like the American Ninja and Van Damme movies. In Tiger Chen, a new international star may have been born. Added bonus it's as fun to watch Reeves be an evil illegal fight promotor as he seems to be had playing it.
*Minor Spoiler* There's also a fun little twist that recalls Running Man and Truman Show.
