Essentially a two-hour action scene, Man of Steel has none of the wit or charm offered by the Marvel movies. What's the point of throwing each other into buildings when clearly neither party is getting the slightest bit hurt from it - and all you're doing is causing billions in property damage? Why didn't Superman just throw his enemies into space (or the sun, unless that somehow gives them more power)? And of all movies, why did Zack Snyder choose this one in which to not use any of his signature slow-mo moments? It's like they weren't even trying.
