The #1 reason why superman has had such a bad reputation is because he has become the most UNrelatible modern mythlogical figure ever and to find some sort of that you have to water him down and Synder didn't do that, but he did add a pitch of heart which is what all previous Superman films have been missing.

For the most part this film is tolerable, the 35mm projection were gorgeous to look at, the CGI was tasteful and of course, the Christian overtone was pleasant.
