Man of Steel is an insightful twist on the old theme - Showing Clark's struggles as a child and his journey of self-discovery opens a new philosophical angle. To me this version is much more deeply spiritual and thought-provoking.
However, endless loud violence makes this movie drag. Overall I felt this movie was enjoyable but I have to skip action to really appreciate it.
