Review of Man Down (2016) by Ryan A — 05 Dec 2016
What's up with the critics. An absolutely astounding movie. Great direction by Dito and yes Shia is incredible but the editing is what delivers it all. A complex tragic portrait of a vet suffering from PTSD.
Horrifying to witness what many vets and their families live through. The so-called chaotic structure is an essential element that reflects the vet's state of mind -- and it is with skill and beauty that Dito and Jake (editor) lead us through the final horrifying moments, so hard to watch tragedy.
