Review of Man Bites Dog (1992) by Drew B — 26 May 2008
Probably the most vile, disturbing, repellant film in recent memory. Fascinating almost despite itself. Very different take on the serial killer film, which dares to root a totally amoral hero in economic and political realities.
Written with a great deal of depth. Benoit Poelvoorde is riveting in the lead role. Makes one question the very nature of cinema in a way that only "Peeping Tom" and "Funny Games" have dared to do before.
