Review of Man Bites Dog (1992) by Skyler B — 03 Apr 2010
The gritty and careless persona the actor playing Ben portrays is the clear stand-out here and I believed his performance entirely. The aftermath of the rape was pretty grotesque and I was surprised by the ending, but Man Bites Dog is pretty aimless and almost desensitizes the viewer to violence, maybe that was the point? There was a funny little nod to This Is Spinal Tap that I picked up on right away.
