The story pacing just doesn't live up to the original. The songs are ok but the movie is trying too hard to tell something that served as backstory in the first movie. The songs flowed with the story much better in the first film.
Another minor peeve is that the hair cuts for the trio of women stayed the same in the past and future which is a little unrealistic.
