I have to give 'Mammia Mia! Here We Go Again' a B+.The trailers looked terrible, in my opinion, for this movie so I didn't have high hopes going into the theater. Even after seeing the movie, my thoughts were confused if I actually liked it or not but after much pondering, I loved it.
I initial thought is that I liked the first one better but honestly... they are both the same yet extremely different. The first movie was very happy and fun. The second movie is also happy and fun but it also made me cry more than I have in a very long time.
It really focuses on mother / daughter relationships more than the first one. If you have lost a mom, are becoming a mom or your mom is dying anytime soon... you will probably ball your eyes out. Coming from someone who lost my mom in March, this was difficult and much needed.
It was kind of a healing movie for me. I would highly recommend this.
