By all means both Mamma Mia films should not have worked yet they do and this is no different. Plausible? Realistic? Not in the slightest but these are not the concerns of a film like Mamma Mia. It focuses on the entertainment factor to create a feel good movie that exceeds even with the heartbreak of the demise of Meryl's Donna.
So tap your feet to the songs and try to see this for what it is; a celebration of love and joy. Do not judge it solely on it's list of flaws because then you miss the message of this film/.
