Review of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018) by Luna D — 24 Jul 2018
It's ok... I'm a super ABBA fan and have watched mamá Mia a million times. What bothered me about the movie is that it's inconsistant with the first one, it doesn't match up with things that were said in the first movie and that's just not ok in my book.
In the first movie the friends (rose and tanya) don't know about bill & harry, in this one they meet bill. In the first movie Sophie had said to bill that an old lady that Donna looked after gave left her the money for the hotel, that's not how it goes down in the second part.
Also it was said that donnas mom was a puritan type of mom in the first movie, she's a super star in the second, super inconsistant with the first one. Donna had nailed mamá Mia in the first movie but in the second the younger version of her does not have the same pitch and doesn't nail it just like she did.
It's a fun movie to watch, just for me the inconsistency's bother me and I don't think the "younger Donna" sings ass well. Plus super sad not having her "Meryl streep" actually in the movie.
