A very fun summer movie musical. Meryl Streep is a goddess in every way. She is so wonderful to watch. The whole cast is clearly having a blast. Christine Baranski and Julie Walters definitely steal some scenes because they are geniuses as well.
The filmmakers clearly are aware they're making a musical so its very light, fun, and makes musical cliches work. Who cares if choruses pop up out of nowhere to join in on a number.
