Review of Mama (2013) by Taylor W — 08 Jul 2013
SPOILER:
The thing that makes these type of movies creepy is that you never show the face. Don't show the face! They're always stupid.
If the dad killed the mom and then planned on killing the girls, why did he need to take them elsewhere to kill them?
Uncle should have had a larger role. And what was the purpose of the dream about finding the bridge? That lead nowhere. He was still just wandering (into oncoming traffic) when his girlfriend shows up. Then they magically find the house super-fast.
How are you gonna explain all this to CPS? Aunt Jean calls to report abuse, now she's dead, the counselor is dead, and you've lost one of the children (dead).
Victoria, you're a terrible sister. You didn't fight for your little sister to stay. She's not capable of making important decisions at her age. You, too, uncle's girlfriend.
And Mama, you're a terrible mama. You don't kill your children. Period.
