It gets overly clichéd and contrived near the end, but for the most part Mama is an enjoyable horror movie that is effectively creepy despite a lackluster screenplay. It's not going to make anyone's top 10 list for the year, but in terms of entertainment Mama is good enough to warrant a late night viewing.
