I'm a sucker for good, old-fashioned ghost stories, and this is definitely in that category. The premise is a bit different, the characters are great, the ending a bit touching, and it is somewhat creepy at times.

I think I like Guillermo Del Toro. his films are a throwback to the classics, the days before the endless array of slasher films when we were frightened, not just grossed out.
