God I wanted to like this -- so much .... I convinced hubby to come along as I love scary movies - unfortunately it was scary for all the wrong reasons... The overall story line was ok and a good foundation for sinister and creepy, yet unfortunately it's as if the directors had ordered a horror film for dummies book and crammed in every cliche possible. There was no slow build of music or atmosphere - just the recently typical ear bleeding inducing screechy violins, crashing music and over the top jumps in every scene. Seriously - less us more. Really disappointing and in fact very annoying as my ears and eyes hurt my the end if this.
Just go back to good old horror/scary - sometimes the scary stuff is not what you see but the imagination!!!
