Review of Mallrats (1995) by Tori D — 05 Jan 2010

I don't care what anyone says about this movie, its one of my absolute favourites. I prefer this film to Clerks and, next to Dogma, consider it Kevin Smith's best film.

Sure its got pretty big flaws, sure it can get a bit farcical at times, but in my humble opinion, I think the concept of two friends hanging out and shooting the shit is something we can all relate to, and when it's mixed with a tongue in cheek look at comic book nerds and love, not to mention thrown together with Smith's witty and sharp banter makes this a better film than most give it credit for.
