Much better and more enjoyable than I was expecting! That being said, I wish they had been even looser with the adaptation. I wish they had buried Carroll so deep, only the keenest of eyes could have spotted the parallels.

Instead, every scene plays like, "hey! Look what we're doing here! Remember this part in the book? Well, we're doing it this way!" A little more subtlety -- even with the same cast -- would have gone a long way.
