Review of Malevolent (2018) by Johnbobs1 — 03 Feb 2021

This is a film which perhaps sometimes gets some unfair ratings by reviews. Elements of it are certainly solid and we'll done. The acting is strong throughout and I liked the characters. The atmosphere is creepy and the film beautifully shot at times.

For the most part, the storyline works too, though weakens as the film goes on before falling down somewhat at the end: Dragging the film down to being a bit of a regular unimaginative supernatural gore fest in the last half hour.

Overall, creepy at times and worth a watch, but nothing outstanding.
