Pretty good movie about a 13 yr. old boy in WWII Sicily who has feelings for a young woman. The woman goes from respectable to gossiped-about to shunned and expelled, all the while being watched by the boy.
His feelings for her and his hormones take him through changes and situations. Well-made, some good acting, script is so-so, sound and camera are above average. Nominated for awards and generally appreciated by critics.
