Review of Maleficent (2014) by Nicholas I — 18 Jan 2015

Sadly, doesn't live up to my expectations. Pacing problems, clear re-shooting, some cheesy acting and sets, and overall sappiness makes this movie a disappointment.

However, Angelina Jolie's performance is wonderful almost every time and the visuals, when they don't come straight from a children's book, are great. Elle Fanning also gives an acceptable performance that, at times, shows a lot of potential.

This is worth a view, just don't go in with high expectations of something that's deeper or more mature, like I did.
