Review of Maleficent (2014) by Chris B — 18 Mar 2015
The issue with this film is that there is no real reason for this character to have a film dedicated to her and it muddies a Disney Classic with this revisionist piece. It also adds further fantastical elements to a film universe that didn't really have much further than magic when it come to other worldly elements.
Angelina Jolie is also very had to sympathise with as a lead, especially in scenes where this is the emotion they are trying to elicit.
