Way to completely pull out the rug from yourselves, Disney. Maleficent changes everything we know and love about Sleeping Beauty for no good reason. This film isn't clever, it's subversive. Yes, it's visually appealing, but this movie dismisses classic fairytale elements and, instead, replaces them with modern reboot clichés.
People who like this movie probably didn't ever like Sleeping Beauty in the first place.
