Review of Maleficent (2014) by Spencer K — 11 Jul 2015
I really really loved this movie. maybe I just saw it on the right day or something but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Angelina Jolie absolutely killed it as Maleficent. I don't think anybody could have played her as well as Jolie did and she owned it.
she was perfect for the role. the visual effects and the cinematography was excellent, too. from the moors to the wall of spikes, this film looked beautiful. the Christening scene was absolutely brilliant too.
it was a perfect homage to the animated Sleepy Beauty film. Maleficent was a fun, entertaining, visually impressive live action Disney film with a magnetic performance from Angelina Jolie. definitely worth a watch.
