Review of Maleficent (2014) by Michael P — 06 Apr 2016

Pretty mixed reviews from people, even from my friends; some liked it and some hated it. Upfront, I did not enjoy this movie at all. Let me list all the things I hate about this movie.

1. Genre: I don't understand this genre of dark fairy tales. What is the point of all these? did the classic tales stop being good because they stopped making you money? stupid filmmakers.

2. Story: maybe it was because it was advertised as maleficent becoming evil? (or that's what was implied) and it's just pretty light-hearted, good times the whole way through.

3. The 3 Fairies: most. annoying. trio. ever.

4. Aurora: who is just generally annoying.

I'm not even going to talk much because I don't care about this movie. I was hyped beforehand and got disappointed.

Although, Angelina Jolie was awesome (no surprise there). also this movie/genre is definitely not made for me, so that could be a huge factor as to why I think its so terrible.

I would not recommend this movie to anyone I know, not even any kids. I would just tell them to watch Sleeping Beauty and then an Angelina Jolie movie.
