This revisioning of the Sleeping Beauty story from Maleficent's point of view has gorgeous, dreamlike visuals, but is all over the place tonally; it's a rather sad tale yet with big action scenes, parts of it are too cutesy for adults yet others too dark for children.
..nevertheless Angelina Jolie gives a good performance and overall I enjoyed it.
