Review of Malcolm X (1992) by April X — 04 Feb 2008
This movie should be watched as a requirement of life. I don't know of anyone else's experience, but in my own, I was not as equally educated about malcolm x as I was, say, martin luther king, jr. it was sad, actually. still is, because people have this sort of stigma surrounding the essence that malcolm lived and died for. it's apart of american history, though...why shun him?
Anyway, if you have not done so, please watch it. it is a very skilfully written, directed, acted film that DOES tell both sides of the story. it is NOT as one-sided as "the power that be" would have one think. thank you and good night.
