Review of Malcolm X (1992) by Ryan S — 11 May 2008
The last time I saw this all the way through was possibly 10 years ago and upon new inspection, oh so much has changed. This has now become one of my favorite movies ever, and with the passing of time, has in my opinion, become Spike Lee's magnum opus.
It is pretty much a perfect movie, even with its stretching length, and makes me yearn for another Spike Lee masterpiece. Every shot is beautiful and thought out, lacking the look of many movies made during the 90's, instead becoming the cinema classic many passed on with its initial release.
A timeless movie about a time we should not forget.
