Television waves are broadcast into space and someday they will be picked up by aliens. When those aliens actually watch MALCOLM X, they will know as much about the true Malcolm X they need to know. Denzel's performance here should have earned him the same awards his portrayal of a negative police officer in Training Day did.
This is the best performance of his career.
