Review of Malcolm X (1992) by Nik M — 11 Nov 2012
Malcolm X is a crucial film that needs the attention it deserves. It is simply divided in two: the first part serving as a complete artistically cinematic treatment on the world created, the psychology and sociology of it, and whatever leads up thematically to the character's revelation.
Once part two hits, the film derails and serves another strong purpose to be completely devoted to character-driven studies on thematic elements. Malcolm X must be one of Spike Lee's best.
