Review of Malcolm X (1992) by Fairy P — 17 Jun 2008
This is Spike Lee work at its finest. Some of the scenes of Malcolm X's early life are stylistic to the point of clowniness, but this serves to underscore the importance and power of the work that comes later in the movie.
Furthermore, the sense of paranoia drummed up towards the end of the movie is not only convincing, but really frightening. Denzel Washington is amazing in this movie.
