Review of Make Mine Music (1946) by Logan M — 11 Aug 2016
Not much to say here except that it continues to drag on the package film era of Disney. This film includes 10 segments in a span of 76 minutes which might have been the first sign that it was going to be an unsatisfying film.
With some pretty mediocre animation and lazy stories, you can tell the Disney artists were still very understaffed here. Some of the films had some creative promise but not much more. Overall, it's an interesting look at the culture of 1940s America (Casey at Bat) but the songs are definitely dated and most of the segments exceedingly boring.
Also, minus points for some pretty insensitive quips about women.
