Review of Major League (1989) by Jacob N — 24 Mar 2008
I saw this movie about 20 times between the ages of 8 and 12. Since then, I've probably seen it another half dozen times, and I still find myself laughing at most of the scenes.
The casting in this movie is great - I think every actor in this movie in other roles is always a disappointment - Sheen, Snipes, Berenger, Bernsen. But in this movie, they are all perfect for their respective roles. You also have to love Uecker.
The film was filmed at old County Stadium - two ways to tell - (1) look at the dimensions of the outfield and (2) look at the WTMJ sign above the jumbotron. This makes sense given Uecker is the Brewers broadcaster.
