Review of Magnum Force (1973) by Andrew N — 09 Sep 2007

A Fine sequel to the original Dirty Harry.

Harry was just as ruthless, just as hardcore, just as DIRTY. However in this movie there was a more stupid motive behind the killings to push Harry to go out of his way again.

I felt it stepped out of a cop thriller and into an outragerous pre 80s action flick. Which the 'bad guys' roles were set up but never delevered to the end with the same grittiness. And their motive could be based on a cartoon rather than real life.

However saying that it was still a great performance by Clint, rough edged and good directing.

It didnt hit as much impact as the first, but it sure had some force..
