Clint Eastwood still works that gruff Dirty Harry charm, but you can tell that even he knows this is a far cry from the greatness of the original. Scenes are pieced together merely to lengthen the film's running time with a "climactic" finale that is fairly laughable even by 1973 standards.
It's clunky both in its dialogue and direction, and all told a pretty subpar affair.
