It is quite and experience to visit the wonder that was Dirty Harry. In fact, being oblivious to his films, at first it seemed to have more Dirk Diggler porn elements, rather than being a neo-Fistful of Dollars.
However, it is an action film of its time, with the violence level notched up nicely. The fascists are in force and Dirty Harry shows there is even a line he will not cross. The climax itself is more than satisfactory. One thing that did bug me, was that all the scenes were shot during the day. It would seem that some of the menace is lost with this type of aesthetic.
