Review of Magnum Force (1973) by Rocknblues 8 — 20 Jan 2010
Compared to the first Dirty Harry film, this, the second, is more like "Magnum Farce". Although it has a better cast than any other film in the series, it doesn't matter because there are some serious holes in the script (odd, because it was written by Oscar Winner Michael Cimino and Oscar Nominee John Milius) that stick out like a sore thumb on a desperate hitchhiker.
Recommended for die-hard Eastwood fans mostly, though it's certainly better than much of the crap he turned out in the decade following this.
