Review of Magnolia (1999) by David C — 20 Mar 2011
This movie has a style of true character story telling, by getting thrown into these characters life mid crissis, to a point where you struggle to love them as there secretes and flaws get unraveled. I really loved this movie.
Paul Thomas Anderson is an amazing director and writer. It is an original style that I have never seen before, since then all of his other movies carry this unique tempo of movie making. All of the proformances are great I really enjoyed John C Riley and Philip Syemore Hoffman.
This films gets to the point on every level of life its regrets and its disisions as well as the consiqueses of those dissions. With an ending that will shock and amaze you that. PTA has away of speaking to an audince without saying the words.
With a mid movie musical scene that left me speakless as well as other ways of movie breaking rules that I have never seen before. I thought this movie made a bold statment and was an amazing peice of cinema!
