Review of Magnolia (1999) by Yancy P — 18 Jul 2011
What a brilliantly crafted film. It's so intricate; each of the individual stories and characters are so meticulously woven into the overall story.
Filled with deep themes, redemption, regret, loss constructed really beautifully; it's what every ensemble film should ever try to do.
It's really quite a film. It has that character about it that only a true filmmaker can achieve. PT Anderson always impresses me, ALWAYS.
What a terrific film... enduring and unforgettable.
And what a cast! Superb! Some of the actors' best work (Tom Cruise, particularly).
